October 14, 2017  Teal Pumpkin Party

You’re invited to a food-free afternoon of games, dancing, a costume contest and teal pumpkin activities for the whole family. The indoor party is from 3-5 pm at Grace Memorial Church, 1535 NE 17th Avenue in Portland. Click here for more details.

October 21-22, 2017 – Gluten-Free and Food Allergy Fest*

Sponsored by Gluten Free & More magazine and Enjoy Life Foods, the Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest at the Portland Expo Center showcases gluten-free products and includes cooking demonstrations by world class chefs. (Dairy-free and nut-free products are also included.)

December 2017 – Camp Blue Spruce Holiday Party*

Meet new friends, visit with old ones, enjoy delicious top 8 allergen and gluten-free camp treats and be the first to save your bunk for the 2018 Camp Blue Spruce session, August 19-25! Festivities begin at 2 pm at Grace Memorial Church, 1535 NE 17th Avenue in Portland.

January 2018 – FFF Movie Night “Tastes Like Freedom”*

Join Vancouver Allergy Awareness Network for a showing of Tastes Like Freedom, a documentary film by Eric Stachon about Camp Blue Spruce, the worry-free summer camp for kids with food allergies.

February 2018 – Portland Escape Rooms (Teen Event)

This year’s teen-only event is at the Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy location of Portland Escape Rooms. (Day and time TBA.) We’re locking up to 12 teens in an arcade where they have just 60 minutes to work together to solve puzzles that will free them before a (pretend) bomb explodes. This event will run in conjunction with a support group meeting for parents. Topic and guest speaker TBA.

March 24, 2018 – Egg Hunt

Join other families with food restrictions for fun & games and allergy-friendly egg hunts for all ages groups (up to age 12). After filling their baskets with plastic eggs, kids trade them in for a goodie bag filled with age-appropriate non-food treats. Click here for a slide show of last year’s egg hunt. 2nd Week In May 2018 – Food Allergy Awareness Week

Wear teal during Food Allergy Awareness Week and help us educate others about this auto-immune disease that affects 1 in 13 children. Organize an awareness campaign at your school or work, plan a fundraiser to support your favorite food allergy organization and spread the word on social media using #TealTakeOver and #FoodAllergyAwarenessWeek.
